Almost always, irrespective of a specific diagnosis, a child’s brain is available for potent learning. Many of the issues our children have, essentially interrupt the normal conversation that needs to take place between the child’s brain and the world around it. We have found that it is often possible to get that conversation started in gentle ways that directly communicate with the nervous system of the child primarily through movement and non-verbal kinesthetic experiences. As this process progresses, developmental gaps get filled in. This method recognizes that the brain does not learn through repetition alone, nor does it respond positively to being forced. How We Work With Your ChildWe engage the child in a process that provides the brain with the conditions and information it needs in order to begin learning. Through that learning the child will acquire missing elements that the different skills depend on. Normal child development is a system of inter-dependencies. Certain learning must be established in the brain before subsequent development can occur. Sometimes even a minor developmental omission will cause a cascade of problems. What Are Some of the Outcomes of Using This Method?
