Mandy Stanek During the past 6 years as a speech therapist she has been lucky to have worked with a wide variety of clients. These clients were seen in different settings which include: Birth to Three, nursing homes, and a pre-K through 12th grade school. During her first two years working she also had the opportunity to be a representative for the Wisconsin Assistive Technology Initiative (WATI). While working with WATI she met many great therapists, teachers, and parents all working together to determine the best ways to facilitate communication in school and community environments for students. This led to taking classes towards a Ph.D with an emphasis on Augmentative Communication. She completed a year and decided she missed the direct involvement and challenges that come with working with children and families. She always enjoys the chance to get to know many different families and feels she has the greatest impact with them at this time. |
